Today marks the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is observed by practicing Muslims as a month-long period of fasting, reflection, charity and connection to faith. May this be a time of strength, celebration and increased compassion for friends, families and communities around the world observing Ramadan.

This central detail from the Ilkhanid Lusterware Mihrab at Shangri La contains the stylized Kufic script in Arabic which reads, “God will be enough.”
