Based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Papermoon Puppet Theater is celebrated around the world for its innovative, socially conscious forms of puppetry and storytelling. “Matakamaka” was an original production inspired by Shangri La, cross-cultural connections between Indonesia and Hawaiʻi, and environmental stewardship through the practice of Aloha ʻĀina and Kapu Aloha.
